VIPAR Heavy Duty Announces Director of Business Development for Latin America

Latin America. The VIPAR Heavy Duty family of companies announced that Cinthya Rivera has joined its team as Director of Business Development for Latin America.

"Today VIPAR Heavy Duty is well established in Mexico with more than 100 points of sale. We are now ready to grow by expanding into other Latin American markets. We are fortunate to be partnered with the strongest distributors in Mexico and many of our North American suppliers," said Chris Baer, President and CEO of VIPAR Heavy Duty.

"We are expanding our presence in Central America and Colombia through unique new and existing relationships to continue building the strongest and most progressive independent aftermarket network in the Americas," said Baer.

"Cinthya will play a key role in our strategic growth initiatives. He has exceptional skills in leadership, strategic planning, communications and relationship building."

Rivera has more than seven years of sales and market development experience, primarily in the commercial vehicle industry. His most recent position was Sales Manager for North America at TMD Friction. It is headquartered in Puebla de Zaragoza in the state of Puebla in south-central Mexico.

"Cinthya will be instrumental in growing business with our existing distributors and supplier partners in Latin America, while also expanding our presence in those countries," said Jim Pennig, vice president of business development for VIPAR Heavy Duty Family of Company.

"She knows the market, the industry and is a great addition to our team. We look forward to their contributions to our organization as we work together to promote the success of our distributors, suppliers and end customers."

Rivera graduated from the Universidad Tecnológica del Centro de Veracruz with a bachelor's degree in innovation engineering and corporate development.
