TBC Brands Appoints Bill Schafer as New Chief Operating Officer

United States. BC Corporation, one of North America's largest automotive replacement tire marketers, has appointed Bill Schafer to the position of Chief Operating Officer of TBC Brands and TBC International.

Schafer will report directly to TBC Corporation President and CEO Sam Kato and oversee all sales initiatives for TBC Brands and TBC International, including customer service, commercial tire sales, equipment and other product sales, and operations.

"We are committed to providing a best-in-class experience to our customers with the right products, consistent and reliable service, and ease of doing business. Bill is the right person to help us deliver on this commitment," said Kato.

"Bill's extensive experience in commercial sales, operations and strategic management, coupled with his impressive track record of successfully navigating diverse markets and leading teams to success, perfectly position him to help drive the sustainable growth of TBC Brands and TBC International," he added.

Schafer brings 30 years of invaluable experience to Michelin, a shareholder of TBC Corporation, where he held several leadership positions during his tenure, most recently as vice president of original equipment and aftermarket for the Michelin Beyond Road business line.

While at Michelin, Schafer also oversaw all business-to-business (B2B) sales, distribution and operations for the company's North American region and led a team of more than 600 people as vice president of North American B2B sales. And prior to that role, he served as Vice President of North American Commercial Sales, where he played a crucial role in increasing sales and market share, achieving remarkable success in the recovery of the commercial trucking division.

Schafer is a graduate of Brigham Young University and holds a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology and a Master of Business Administration in International Business.
