Mexico. The company Continental announced an investment of around 90 million dollars to build a second plant in Aguascalientes. This complex will be located in Vesta Park and will be dedicated to the production of state-of-the-art hydraulic hoses for the automotive industry.
According to authorities, its construction will start in mid-2024 and it is expected to begin operations in the second half of 2025. It is projected to generate at least 200 new jobs.
On his LinkedIn account, Continental's Managing Director in Mexico, Marco Galluzi, highlighted: "Happy to share the exciting news of the announcement of Continental's new industrial plant in Aguascalientes, together with the state government and ContiTech executives, including Board Member Philip Nelles."
Galluzi added: "With investments close to US$90 million, this will be Continental's second plant in Aguascalientes. We continue to grow and bet on Mexico, in this country the company employs around 24,000 people in 12 states."
For its part, the state government commented on the matter: "Thanks to the security, the good business environment and the workforce of our people, the German company Continental announced today a new investment of US$90 million, which will generate 200 new jobs for the state and a greater economic spillover."
