BMW Group Latin America celebrates successful 2023

Latin America. The BMW Group sold 48,577 BMW and MINI cars in Latin America in 2023. The company says it reaffirms its position as the region's favorite premium car brand for the sixth consecutive year.

The best December in the history of regional sales successfully closed a year in which 8% more customers than 2022 in Argentina, Brazil and Mexico, in addition to the Latin American importer markets, opted for BMW and MINI vehicles.

The total number of BMWs sold reached 41,315 vehicles, up 9% from the previous year. Meanwhile, 7,165 MINIs, 7% more than the previous year, were delivered to customers in the region in 2023.

"Our continued success is driven by a highly dedicated team and a highly professional network of distributors and importers, based on an exceptional commitment to excellence in service to our customers, highly attractive products with technological openness and a strong local presence with plants in Mexico and Brazil," said Reiner Braun, CEO and President of BMW Group Latin America.

"One out of every three premium cars in the region is a BMW. I would especially like to thank our customers for the preference and our team and dealer network for the dedication," added Braun.

The BMW brand is the sales leader in Brazil, the largest market in the region for the Bavarian brand, with 15,113 units delivered (9% more than in the previous year), while a total of 1,573 MINI vehicles were sold (24% more than in the previous year).

Mexico remains the best-performing market in regional sales, combining the two BMW Group brands: 13,995 BMW units delivered (12% more than in 2022) and 3,708 MINI units (4% below the previous year).

Total sales from import markets achieved an all-time record of 11,296 BMW vehicles (up 4% from 2022) and 1,852 MINI vehicles sold (up 15% from the previous year).
