Brazil. AutoZone has expanded its partnership with Relex Solutions, a company specializing in retail and supply chain planning solutions, to improve distribution center operations in the U.S., Mexico, and now Brazil.
The collaboration with Relex aims to optimize AutoZone's global supply chain processes, focusing on operational efficiency and scalability, the company said.
AutoZone said Relex's technology improves demand forecasting and reduces inventory levels, leading to higher sales through improved stock availability and service levels in distribution centers. It also aims to reduce costs by optimising the flow of goods.
Brazil presents distinct challenges, AutoZone said, due to diverse sourcing practices and a wide variety of car makes and models.
The current supply chain system in Brazil operates manually and separately from the systems used in the United States and Mexico. Relex's solution is expected to support and integrate AutoZone's operations in Brazil, aligning with the company's business and IT goals.
Michelle Borninkhof, senior vice president and chief information officer of customer success at AutoZone, emphasized the company's commitment to improving order planning and efficiency.
"Relex provides solutions with tremendous flexibility, enabling faster decision-making and improving our exception handling. With their support, we are confident in our ability to optimize our end-to-end supply chain across our global operations," he said.
Keith Adams, senior vice president of North America for Relex Solutions, expressed his excitement about the growth of the partnership.
"This critical step highlights the value we bring by generating tangible business benefits while ensuring scalability and adaptability to changing market demands. We are proud to support AutoZone in its pursuit of an optimized and future-proof supply chain, and we look forward to a successful and continued collaboration," said Adams.
