International. Eaton has created a new name for its Vehicle Group and eMobility businesses: Eaton's Mobility Group.
This sector represents the company's focus on providing solutions across the propulsion spectrum and meeting the changing needs of its customers, from internal combustion to electrification or a combination of both, the company said.
"Our new name, Mobility Group, leverages our more than 100 years of diverse experience in the vehicle space and Eaton's extensive electric expertise at a time when the industry is rapidly becoming a mixed market for internal combustion and electric vehicles," said Pete Denk, president of Eaton's Mobility Group.
Eaton said it will continue to offer traditional powertrain solutions as manufacturers and the industry determine optimal powertrains based on market demands.
To support the increasing degrees of electrification, Mobility Group offers a suite of technologies, including power distribution, power electronics and transmission solutions that improve safety, efficiency and performance.
The company said the power connection solutions were introduced following the 2022 acquisition of Royal Power Solutions, which develops and produces high-precision signal and power distribution components.
The main markets for Mobility Group are on- and off-road vehicle OEMs and aftermarket customers.
