United States. Terry McCauley of Niterra North America has been appointed to CAWA's Manufacturer Advisory Council.
CAWA said McCauley is a seasoned veteran of the automotive aftermarket industry with more than 38 years of experience. With his Southern California residency, McCauley's journey began at age 15 when he became an apprentice technician and honed his skills at an auto and RV repair shop in Huntington Beach, California.
During college, his passion for the automotive world led to a career as a parts professional. CAWA noted that he excelled in this position at a job shop, where he demonstrated an innate understanding of automotive components and their complexities.
"I have known Terry for some time, appreciate his commitment to the industry, and am pleased to announce that he will be joining CAWA's Manufacturer Advisory Council," said Young Suhr Jr., chairman of the board of directors.
"I look forward to your participation and contributions to CAWA in helping the Association achieve its goals as an effective and valuable automotive care industry organization," said Young Suhr Jr.
In 1998, McCauley joined Niterra North America (formerly known as NGK Spark Plugs, USA) as district manager. He rose through the ranks to become a senior district manager and took on a training role, mentoring and shaping newly hired district managers.
Today, as a key account specialist, McCauley celebrates 25 years with Niterra. Throughout his tenure, he held various positions within the company, including chair of Niterra's Sales Committee, where he played a crucial role representing the sales department during the successful launch of the B2B portal, CAWA said.
