United States. BBB Industries, a manufacturer of automotive accessories, announced the passing of its founder and chairman emeritus Donald (Don) G. Bigler. Bigler was a resident of Mobile, Alabama.
Don Bigler passed away peacefully, surrounded by family on Friday, June 16. He was 91.
"On behalf of BBB Industries, our board of directors and our management team, I offer our deepest condolences to the Bigler family," said Duncan Gillis, chief executive officer of BBB Industries.
"Don was not just one of the founders of BBB, he was a friend, mentor and an inspiration to many within the company. I already miss their friendship," he said.
Don founded BBB along with his sons, Jeff and Bruce Bigler, who live in the Mobile area. Together, they grew the company from a small regional remanufacturer of rotating electrical parts to one of the world's largest and most successful sustainable manufacturers.
The founding and construction of BBB Industries was Don's "second act" following a high-impact career in the aerospace industry, where he led top-secret programs to ensure the security of the United States, as well as Teledyne Continental Motors (now Continental Aerospace Technologies), the largest manufacturer of engines for the general aviation market.
