Mexico. With a legacy of more than 60 years in Mexico, Nissan celebrated the milestone of 15 million units produced in this country.
The milestone was celebrated in the complexes of Aguascalientes A1, A2, and CIVAC, Morelos. These have been instrumental in the growth and development of the automotive industry in the country, as well as the communities where they operate.
The Nissan Kicks crossover, one of the most iconic vehicles of the Japanese brand, which has managed to captivate the Mexican market with its versatility, design, safety and technologies, was the 15 million unit to leave the production line at the Aguascalientes 1 plant.
"The production of 15 million units in Mexico is a historic achievement that demonstrates Nissan's quality, commitment and vision in Mexico. This milestone would not have been possible without the effort and dedication of our employees, suppliers and strategic partners," said José Román, president and CEO of Nissan Mexicana, Nissan Importers Business Unit and Infiniti.
"Together we will continue to drive development and innovation in Mexico, and take our brand to new horizons," added Román.
Currently, the vehicles manufactured in these complexes are exported to more than 80 countries such as Canada, the United States, Brazil, Colombia, Chile and Saudi Arabia, among others.
