Colombia. Between May 4 and 7, more than 80,000 visitors from 35 countries gathered at the Plaza Mayor Convention Center in Medellín to attend the 2 Wheels Fair, the event with the greatest commercial impact on the motorcycle industry in America.
Aftermarket International was present in this, the 14th edition of the main showcase of the growing motorcycle market in the Americas.
This year 450 exhibitors gathered in an area of 42,000 square meters. In addition, 6,000m2 were destined for sports exhibitions where around 200 pilots participated.
According to the data collected by the organization of the event, among the assemblers present at the Fair, more than 850 motorcycles were sold.
On average, the cheapest motorcycle was priced at four million pesos, while the highest-priced was $250 million.
"These data, which are only part of the focal sample analyzed by the organization, show that the 2 Wheels Fair continues to consolidate itself as an important promoter of the economy of the motorcycle industry," said Prisma Gestión Empresarial, organizer of this meeting that also brought together companies marketing parts for automobiles, as well as oils, lubricants, additives and fuels.
Among them, national companies such as Terpel, Zeuss, Metrofrenos, Ferropartes, Impocali, as well as JSS Motos, importer of spare parts from India.
These were joined by global brands such as Liqui Moly, Motul, Mobil, Gulf, Castrol, Havoline, among others.
