Rematec Amsterdam returns in June

Rematec Amsterdam

International. Rematec Amsterdam, the world's leading remanufacturing trade show, will be held at RAI Amsterdam between June 27 and 29. The event is co-organized with APRA.

After four years of absence, an impressive array of international solution providers are eager to share their latest technologies.

Trends such as electrification, shared mobility platforms, connectivity and autonomous driving are poised to have a strong impact on the automotive aftermarket. There is consolidation along the supply chain and OEMs are taking stronger positions.

There is also a big push for sustainability. Remanufacturing is a central pillar of the circular economy, so Rematec is a must-attend event for the remanufacturing ecosystem to catch up with trends and developments.

The global focus on sustainability and the circular economy, combined with the current large price increases of raw materials, require sustainable manufacturing methods. Today's technology trends are becoming more complex and remanufacturing processes are becoming more sophisticated.

The remanufacturing industry has the knowledge and experience to produce sustainably and improve the product life cycle. This year Rematec focuses on three main pillars: electric vehicles, battery remanufacturing and sustainable manufacturing.

As a result of the electrical paradigm shift and to prepare new strategies, remanufacturers must closely monitor new technical developments and begin studying and researching these new systems and their new components immediately.

The growing demand for batteries around the world puts enormous pressure on Earth's scarce resources. This means that the potential for remanufacturing is high, but the traditional remanufacturing approach is not applicable.

A large and growing number of manufacturers are reaping significant financial and environmental benefits from sustainable business practices. These companies are treating sustainability as an important goal in their strategy and operations to increase global growth and competitiveness.

With more than 150 exhibitors such as Borg Automotive A/S, Autocraft Solutions Group, Stellantis, Robert Bosch, Valeo Service and Encory, Rematec 2023 brings together remanufacturing experts from around the world. Aftermarket, parts and supply chain managers will find products, solutions and new partnerships in remanufacturing processes.

APRA Europe, the founding partner of Rematec, is very happy to see that the event has returned to normal.

"We encourage everyone who is active or interested in the remanufacturing business around the world to visit the exhibition. It's the place to network and catch up. Remanufacturing is the most sustainable business model and an integral part of the circular economy," says APRA Europe President Daniel C. F. Koehler.

This year, Rematec will host the first Reman Challenge in collaboration with BORG Automotive. The challenge will connect universities and students with exhibitors and visitors to Rematec.

The challenge will focus on assessing the megatrends expected to affect the automotive remanufacturing industry over the next 5 to 10 years. Student groups from selected universities will make proposals for these challenges and will have a platform at Rematec 2023 to present and demonstrate their proposals.
