Latin America. A year of transition of different crises, the recovery of some markets and the positioning of new technologies on the horizon ends.
From January to November, 726,392 vehicles were stopped in North America due to lack of chips, an annual drop of 70%, according to the National Auto Parts Industry (INA). However, it is a volume lower than the 2,459,000 units affected in the same period last year.
This 2022 witnessed a reduction in the impact of chips in cars, and with it a recovery in the number of inventories that agencies have.
The restoration of the supply chain is added to record production records this year such as that of Mexico, which according to the same INA will reach a figure of 106,665 million dollars at the end of 2022, which is equivalent to a growth of 12.65% compared to the 2021 record.
Likewise, the return of trade fairs revealed different innovations around electromobility and digitalization that will set the course for 2023 and the coming years.
From the Aftermarket International team we wish all our readers and their families the best wishes during this end of the year holidays.
The magazine will have a short break and will return with all the industry information in its Newsletter starting January 11, 2023.
