International. Speedway Motors ' wide selection of parts and years of experience made it the perfect partner for the fourth season of Car Masters: Rust to Riches, the popular Netflix series that kicked off in 2018.
This season they also partnered on a construction for their 70th anniversary showcasing their products, which was presented at their booth at Goodguys Speedway Motors Southwest Nationals near their new retail store and distribution center just outside of Phoenix.
The construction Speedway Motors and Gotham Garage Zephyr will be exhibited at Cars & Coffee (Lincoln, Nebraska, USA) on August 27, where Mark Towle and Tony Quinones will also be present to sign autographs. The event will be held from 8 a.m. to noon.
"We've known for a long time that it's possible to build almost anything using parts from Speedway Motors," said marketing and content project coordinator Joe McCollough.
"When we released the Gotham Garage team with our catalog, we knew the result would be a shocking thing. We're willing to bet you've never seen a Lincoln Zephyr like this before and we hope you'll join us at Cars & Coffee to check it out."
The build incorporates Speedway Motors' G-Comp universal front suspension kit and G-Comp torsion arm rear suspension kit, both of which are displayed through the windows at the rear.
Under the hood is a 502-horsepower GM 502 large-block Chevy armed engine topped with Speedway Motors Three 2 Barrel to Single 4 Barrel Adapters over valve caps that push six Chrome 9 Super 7 Carbs and hive air filters up through the hood.
"This construction is a nod to Speedway Motors' early days as a speed workshop in 1952, when they delivered hot rod parts around town, of course, with the signature touch of Gotham Garage," said Gotham Garage founder Mark Towle.
"It represents both Speedway Motors and Gotham Garage, so every side is different. One side sports giant billet shakes and our sleek gold leaf logo, while the other is a nod to the old Speedway Motors logo with American Racing Salt Flat wheels."
