International. AAPEX represents more than $1.6 trillion to the global automotive parts industry. This year's edition will take place from Tuesday, November 1 to Thursday, November 3 at The Venetian Expo in Las Vegas.
AAPEX announced that America's best-known political consultant, James "The Ragin Cajun" Carville, alongside iconic political strategist Karl Rove, will participate in a central debate at this year's event for the global automotive parts industry market.
The main debate, "Different opinions discuss the 2022 legislative elections and beyond," will be held on November 1. Since AAPEX will take place the week before this year's Senate and House elections, the debate will provide timely information on what to expect on the road ahead.
Carville and Rove will provide their points and counterpoints in a moderate conversation about where to look for trends across the country and the impact of elections on the United States and the world. In this interactive session, Carville and Rove will answer questions from the AAPEX audience about the current state of the policy and its projections for the future.
The AAPEX main session is sponsored by Clarios and is a ticketed event that includes breakfast and takes place from 6:30 a.m. to 8:45 a.m. at The Venetian Expo, Palazzo Ballroom.
Carville has a long list of electoral successes that demonstrate his ability to drive overlooked campaigns to unexpected overwhelming victories. His most notable victory was in 1992 when he helped William Jefferson Clinton win the presidency.
In recent years, Carville has not been a paid political consultant to many national politicians or candidates, but has focused on campaigns in more than 23 countries around the world; from South America to Europe, Africa and, more recently, Asia.
He is also a best-selling author, actor, producer, talk show host and speaker. His titles include We're Still Right, They're Still Wrong: The Democrats' Case for 2016, "Love & War: Twenty Years, Three Presidents, Two Daughters and One Louisiana Home" and "It's The Middle Class, Stupid!".
Rove was the architect of President George W. Bush's White House victories in 2000 and 2004 and previously led a public affairs firm that ran 75 campaigns for governor, senator and congressman in 24 states.
Rove served as a senior adviser to President Bush from 2000 to 2007 and deputy chief of staff from 2004 to 2007. At the White House, he oversaw the Offices of Strategic Initiatives, Political Affairs, Public Liaison and Intergovernmental Affairs and was Deputy Chief of Staff for Policy, coordinating the White House policymaking process.
Rove writes weekly for the Wall Street Journal, appears frequently on Fox News Channel and is the author of the New York Times bestseller "Courage and Consequence." His latest book is "The Triumph of William McKinley."
Before Carville and Rove take the stage, Paul McCarthy, president and CEO of the Automotive Aftermarket Suppliers Association (AASA), and Bill Hanvey, president and CEO of the Auto Care Association, will host the annual State of the Automotive Aftermarket Industry presentation.
