Mexico. Dassault Systèmes and Volkswagen Group have announced a long-term strategic partnership to optimize vehicle development through the implementation of the 3DEXPERIENCE platform.
This collaboration aims to transform the Volkswagen Group's digital infrastructure, focusing on the engineering and manufacturing of next-generation vehicles.
The 3DEXPERIENCE platform, which will be deployed in the cloud, will become the backbone for the Volkswagen, Audi and Porsche brand teams, who will use virtual twins to accelerate development and improve process accuracy. The technology will allow professionals to simulate, test and refine each stage of vehicle development in a virtual collaborative environment, optimizing workflow and significantly reducing production times, as well as ensuring compliance with global regulations and sustainability standards.
Hauke Stars, Member of the Volkswagen Group's IT Executive Board, stressed that this decision is an important milestone for the evolution of its technology systems. "We are creating a real technological leap for our teams in development and factory planning, by optimizing the complexity of our systems and using virtual twins, which reduces costs and accelerates processes," he said.
Pascal Daloz, CEO of Dassault Systèmes, commented on the impact of digital transformation on the automotive industry. "With this partnership, we unify hardware and software innovation to accelerate the Volkswagen Group's software-driven transformation," Daloz said, emphasizing the importance of Artificial Intelligence and the strength of the cloud.
The implementation of the 3DEXPERIENCE platform will be based on four key Dassault Systèmes solutions: "Global Modular Architecture," "Smart, Secure, and Connected," "Multi-Energy Efficient Platform," and "On-Target Vehicle Launch."
This alliance promises to revolutionize vehicle development, driving technological innovation and positioning the Volkswagen Group at the forefront of the global automotive industry.
