Mexico. With an investment of 260 million dollars, Seojin Mobility began the construction of its first plant in Mexico, located in Escobedo, Nuevo León, for electric car motors.
On March 28, José Antonio Quiroga Chapa, in charge of the office of the municipal presidency, together with Byung Hyuk Kang, general director of Seojin Mobility Mexico, gave the starting flag to the construction work.
The CEO of the Korean company stressed that it is estimated that by February 2025 the first stage of the project will be completed, where more than 300 jobs will be generated and there will be assembly of motors for electric vehicles.
On the other hand, the investment of the second stage, which will be in the same property, would be around 100 million dollars.
The Korean company is dedicated to the manufacture of electric motors, being the main supplier of some companies such as Hyundai, Kia and GM.
