International. Foresight, an automotive vision solutions company, announced the completion of two proof-of-concept (POC) projects with a leading Japanese vehicle manufacturer.
The company reported the start of these projects on August 14, 2023.
The vehicle manufacturer, which currently employs stereo cameras in its advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS), evaluated the accuracy of Foresight's unique auto-calibration capabilities to improve 3D depth perception.
Following successful results, the parties are exploring co-development initiatives for further evaluation of the solution's capabilities.
Future collaboration may involve integrating Foresight's technology into the manufacturer's passenger vehicles. This integration has the potential to improve accuracy in distance measurement, as well as improve object detection and classification, thereby elevating the automaker's overall vehicle safety system.
