United States. MEMA announced that the MEMA Center for Sustainability will hold two workshops this fall with a focus on providing detailed information on the various environmental, social and governance (ESG) complexities and demands faced by suppliers today.
Laurie Hoose, PMP, senior manager, and Mark Barrott, partner, from business advisory firm Plante Moran will join the Center for four modules spread over two dates: September 20 and October 18, 2023.
Topics will include OEM ESG disclosures and sustainability requirements, best practices for establishing an ESG program, driving cost reduction with ESG programs, and a self-assessment of the company's current ESG positions.
The workshops will be held at MEMA's offices in Southfield, Michigan, and virtually via Zoom.
"Following the success of our Sustainability Summit in August, we will partner with Plante Moran to provide suppliers with the information they need to assess their ESG position and proactively move toward efficient information collection, analysis and disclosure," said John Chalifoux, chief sustainability officer for MEMA, the Vehicle Suppliers Association.
"This event, aimed at teams responsible for the development, execution and compliance of ESG programs, will provide an essential opportunity to learn, network and plan for the future," he added.
MEMA invites executives and professionals from all member companies of the association that manage aspects of sustainability and ESG within their organizations to attend.
