Forvia inaugurates auto parts plant in Nuevo León

Fábrica

Mexico. With an investment of 147 million dollars in a first stage, Faurecia, a French company of the Forvia Group, opened a new state-of-the-art manufacturing plant in the municipality of Apodaca, Nuevo León.

The new plant, located in the Nexxus Industrial Park and which has more than 33,500 square meters, will generate 1,500 new jobs in the entity.

In this way, the French auto parts giant increases its operational capacity in America. This location will manufacture car seat structures, instrument panels and center consoles, aligned with industry trends in sustainability and use of lightweight materials.

Frank Huber, executive vice president of Faurecia in the car seats division, said that this opening represents a "true milestone" for its business branch, because although they are currently number one worldwide in structural seating systems, with 16% of the global market, they seek to improve their numbers.

As part of its strategic plan dated for 2025, "this new plant will serve as a platform for such growth. Monterrey is in the perfect location for this. It is a city with a long and proud industrial culture, with an excellent infrastructure," he said.

"We have alliances with institutions such as the University of Monterrey, Inter-American University for Development, the Instituto Tecnologíco de Estudios Superiores de Monterrey, the Instituto de Tecnología de Nuevo León, among others, to offer internship and training programs; this will give Forvia a supply of talented professionals to meet our ambition and drive our collective growth."
