Dayco to produce first carbon drive belt for Chinese market

Dayco, a global manufacturer of engine products and transmission systems for the automotive, heavy-duty and industrial markets, delivered its first heavy-duty Dayco Power Carbon drive belt for the personal mobility segment in China.

The Dayco team together with its strategic partner, Tuoye, witnessed this milestone at Dayco's facility in Suzhou. These highly advanced belts will now be installed in the lineup of major motorcycle manufacturers in China.

"The industrial belt is one of the key directions of Dayco's global strategy. With the support of Dayco's global teams, the industrial belt segment at Dayco China has achieved an excellent milestone, especially for the motorcycle industry," said Dayco APAC original equipment sales director Zack Chen.

"We will continue to strengthen and accelerate high-tech product development and supply more value-added products to our customers with our strategic partners in China," Chen added.

Liu Xin, general manager of Tuoye, said, "Tuoye is a power transmission system integrator focused on replacing the chain-driven system with a high-performance belt system for the personal mobility industry."

"With Dayco's global innovation, local production of best-in-class timing belts and speed of response, combined with Tuoye's system development capabilities, both companies together are well positioned to deliver high-performance belt systems to the Chinese personal mobility industry," he said.
