Toyota, Aurora and Continental join NVIDIA

International. The merger of these companies aims to develop next-generation autonomous fleets.

NVIDIA has announced that three automotive giants, Toyota, Aurora and Continental, have joined its growing list of partners to drive the development of next-generation highly automated and autonomous vehicles.

This alliance reinforces the company's commitment to bringing artificial intelligence (AI) and accelerated computing to the center of innovation in the global automotive sector.

Toyota, the world's largest automaker, has selected the state-of-the-art NVIDIA DRIVE AGX Orin™ computing platform, equipped with the security-certified NVIDIA DriveOS. This system will allow Toyota to integrate advanced driver assistance capabilities, improving the safety and functionality of its vehicles of the future. This alliance promises to accelerate the transition to safer and more automated fleets.

Aurora and Continental have also entered into a strategic partnership with NVIDIA for the deployment of autonomous trucks on a large scale. These vehicles will be equipped with NVIDIA's accelerated computing technology, with DriveOS as the operating system, and will be integrated with the Aurora Driver autonomous driving system, designed to achieve SAE level 4 autonomy. Continental is expected to start mass production of these trucks by 2027.

NVIDIA's expansion into the automotive ecosystem continues to gain momentum. From automotive giants like Mercedes-Benz and BYD, to start-ups like Zoox and Wayve, more than 20 global companies are adopting the NVIDIA DRIVE AGX platform to develop next-generation autonomous vehicles, robotaxis, and trucks. This growth positions NVIDIA to reach an approximately $5 billion vertical business in the automotive sector by fiscal 2026.

Jensen Huang - NVIDIA"We are in the midst of a revolution in the automotive industry, and autonomous vehicles, supported by artificial intelligence, will be key to the future of transportation," said Jensen Huang, founder and CEO of NVIDIA. "With two decades of experience in automotive computing, security, and our CUDA AV platform, NVIDIA is transforming a multi-billion dollar industry by providing high-performance solutions for autonomous vehicles."

In addition to in-vehicle computing, NVIDIA is also providing end-to-end solutions ranging from cloud training to simulating driving environments. NVIDIA DGX™ and NVIDIA Omniverse™, along with OVX™ systems, will enable autonomous driving systems to be simulated and validated with an unprecedented level of accuracy.
