United States. Selwyn Joffe, president and CEO of Motorcar Parts of America, was recognized with the 2024 Michael Cardone Leadership Award during the AAPEX 2024 event celebration in Las Vegas on Nov. 6.
This award, given by MEMA Aftermarket Suppliers, highlights exceptional leaders within the remanufacturing industry, particularly those who promote sustainable and innovative practices.
At the ceremony, Joffe was recognized for his visionary leadership that has driven the growth and evolution of the automotive aftermarket industry. The distinction underscores his significant contribution to remanufacturing and sustainability within the industry, areas in which Motorcar Parts of America has made remarkable strides under his leadership.

Joffe has been chairman of the board of Motorcar Parts of America since 1999 and a director since 1994, leading the company as it expands into new frontiers of sustainability and remanufacturing excellence. Prior to his successful tenure at this company, Joffe held key roles as President and CEO of Protea Group, Inc., President and CEO of Netlock Technologies, and Co-Founder of Palace Entertainment, Inc. In addition, he had a relevant role as president and CEO of Wolfgang Puck Food Company.
In parallel to his outstanding executive career, Joffe has been deeply involved in various industry associations. He was one of the founders of MEMA's MERA division, and is still active in the California, Arizona and Nevada Automotive Wholesaler's Association (CAWA) today. His background includes a bachelor's degree in business and law from Emory University, and he is a certified public accountant.
