Mexico. The National Auto Parts Industry (INA), in collaboration with Messe Frankfurt and MEMA Aftermarket, announced the 26th edition of INA PAACE Automechanika together with the inauguration of the first International Aftermarket Summit.
The event will take place from July 10 to 12 at Centro Citibanamex, Mexico City.
At the press conference on July 1, 2024, the executive president of the INA, Francisco N. González Díaz, underscored the strategic importance of the event, as it is "more than a trade fair, a driver for the future of the automotive industry in our country and beyond, as it represents a space where innovation converges, the knowledge and networking opportunities that promote our sector forward."
In addition, González Díaz stressed that Mexico is experiencing a historic moment with unprecedented growth in the auto parts industry, which is estimated to exceed 126 billion dollars this year. He emphasized the opportunities in the aftermarket market, which is expected to continue expanding in the coming years, driven by electromobility and the United States-Mexico-Canada Agreement (USMCA).
For his part, Paul McCarthy, president and CEO of MEMA Aftermarket, highlighted that Mexico ranks 11th in the global aftermarket and emphasized the average age of vehicles in the country, which is approximately 16.5 years, which increases opportunities.
"This is due to the crucial role of the aftermarket: suppliers, distributors, workshops, who provide spare parts, tools, diagnostics and all the technologies that keep vehicles running safely throughout their life cycle," he explained.
Finally, Constantin von Vieregge, President and CEO of Messe Frankfurt North America, reported that the event will have more than 100 technical sessions, 565 exhibitors from 35 countries and around 17 thousand visitors, distributed in 12 thousand square meters of exhibition, which represents an increase in space of 30% compared to the previous year.
