Automechanika Ho Chi Minh City 2024: Opportunities in the Automotive Industry

International. Automechanika Ho Chi Minh City was an ideal platform for converging domestic and foreign automotive markets. Attendees praised the exhibition's ability to capture evolving industry trends and address dynamic market needs.

Judy Wang, President of Yorkers Exhibition Service Vietnam, said: "This edition of Automechanika Ho Chi Minh City in 2024 once again offered a window into Vietnam's automotive industry. Not only are they shaping new trade agreements that promise to import high-quality automotive technologies, systems and aftermarket solutions from abroad, but the country also has the ability to become one of Southeast Asia's leading automotive hubs in the supply chain."

The event hosted 482 exhibitors from 23 countries and regions, including nine pavilions from China, India, Indonesia, Korea, Malaysia, Singapore, Taiwan, Thailand, and the United Kingdom.

In addition, buyers traveled from 42 foreign countries and regions to attend the event, including Cambodia, China, India, Indonesia, Italy, Japan, Korea, Malaysia, Philippines, Singapore, Taiwan, Thailand, United Arab Emirates, United Kingdom, United States, and others.

The Automotive Mobility Solutions Zone was one of the highlights demonstrating the adoption of electrification, digitalization, artificial intelligence, sustainability and ESG in transportation, manufacturing and automation along the automotive value chain.

The categorization brought together several exhibitors who presented a variety of electric and automotive driving technologies, as well as connectivity and smart mobility solutions.

In addition, the Automotive Mobility Solutions Conference, which included a keynote and three related events, reflected the topics addressed at the exhibition. The events focused on how the supply chain, logistics industry, policies and regulations are adapting based on these trends.

The combination of business, workshops and entertainment attracted a wide range of visitors to the show. Distributors, manufacturers, automakers, retailers, and service providers were among the top buyers.

The Collision Repair Training Workshop was again sought after by local workshops. The comments suggest that the interest stemmed from a desire to better understand how digitalisation and electrification are playing larger roles in vehicle repair and maintenance.

The three-day program included several seminars and hands-on demonstrations that covered new tools and equipment. Participants noted that the actionable information and insights gained could easily be applied to day-to-day operations to improve efficiency, safety, and customer satisfaction within their businesses.
