ARNOLD Umformtechnik continues to expand after-sales service

Germany. The company is expanding its aftermarket service offering to include digital remote services.

The new opportunities brought by digitalization have led ARNOLD Umformtechnik to expand its after-sales service for its machines with the offer of remote digital services. The emphasis is on data security, simplicity of operation, and clear processes.

"For our customers, the new remote services are an ideal addition to the Industry 4.0 concept," says Jan Schmierer, After-Sales Team Leader at ARNOLD. "Digital tools will allow us to identify the causes and rectify failures in production operations much faster."

In the future, process controllers, maintenance personnel and operators will be able to communicate with ARNOLD's service specialists via voice-controlled virtual reality glasses and receive immediate support.

With the help of a digital twin, problems can be identified or repairs and maintenance can be guided step-by-step via remote access to the machine. Remote service replaces numerous trips, which also reduces the CO2 footprint of industrial companies and protects the climate.

Professional after-sales service saves time and costs from the start, as machine downtime is completely eliminated while waiting for service technicians to perform an initial analysis.

In addition, regular maintenance appointments can be planned more precisely in advance, which also increases the availability of the machines. Using a hybrid solution, ARNOLD's maintenance service can also be used to document automated joining processes. The tool translates all documents into 80 languages for international use. Live translation with subtitles will also be available in the future.

Jan Schmierer explains: "We see ourselves as a partner to our customers. That's why, as with all of our services, our new remote services focus on process safety, product reliability and simplicity of operation."
