Equip Auto seeks to highlight car wash professionals

Lavadero de carros

International. Innovating to save water and meet the challenges of the green transition: these are the goals that car wash professionals have been setting for several years.

Equip Auto, the reference event in automotive aftermarket innovation and services for connected mobility, wants to highlight car wash professionals by offering them a meeting and exchange space that allows them to present the solutions they have developed to face these challenges.

As in previous editions of the fair, visitors will be offered a space entirely dedicated to car wash professionals and solutions for roadside services.

In parallel, on Saturday, September 30 at 12.15 pm, Emmanuel Taillardat, journalist specialized in automotive, will give a talk on the topic "Car wash: innovate and diversify to optimize profitability".

This will cover the latest exhibitor solutions: organic water recyclers, optimization of existing equipment, solar water heaters. All this with the aim of avoiding stops in periods of water restriction and optimizing energy consumption.

Professionals working in payment terminals and pathways to diversification will also speak on this panel discussion.

The car wash market has been undermined by drought and water stress, and businesses are experiencing an increasing number of restrictions. However, this sector has been investing and innovating for years to address these issues and reduce its environmental impact, while conserving water resources.

In recent years, leading names in the war laundering sector have developed solutions to adapt to new environmental, regulatory and economic circumstances.

Since the announcement of its decree on the use and conditions of reuse of treated wastewater, the French Ministry for the Ecological Transition has encouraged companies in the sector to adopt innovative initiatives.

In this perspective, the sector needs to be supported through the promotion of professionals who make car washing green, particularly during periods of drought.

Bertrand Heurtaux, Managing Director of Heurtaux SAS, said: "As a manufacturer of high-pressure washing equipment for more than 55 years, we feel it is important to be at Equip Auto Lyon 2023 in view of the current events that have led us to develop new techniques to anticipate the requirements around water use."

For his part, Fabrice Collet, Director of Sales and Marketing of WashTec, highlighted: "It is important for us to be at this first edition of Lyon of Equip Auto and meet an audience that we do not necessarily know in Paris."

"Our assistance is even more significant in view of the current circumstances with drought and water restrictions that are affecting several regions of France. Water recycling is becoming the central issue in the car wash world," Collet said.

"This fair will allow us to present our various recycling solutions and, in particular, our AquaPur Modular system, which allows recycling between 70% and 80% of water. We also look forward to introducing our latest new solutions, such as SmartCare, our Premium gantry car wash, but also our environmentally friendly Green Car Care products."
