Colombia. Airbus, a company dedicated to the design, manufacture and sale of civil aircraft, would sign an agreement with the Colombian National Government, during the visit of President Gustavo Petro to Spain, for the development of structures for air vehicles worth close to 300 million euros.
According to the Primera Página agency, the Minister of Industry and Commerce, Germán Umaña said that the agreement will be signed in Spain, taking into account that President Gustavo Petro is there on the occasion of his state visit to that country.
"President Petro will be at the Airbus Spain factory to work on that agreement," explained Commerce Minister Germán Umaña Mendoza.
Along the same lines, Minister Umaña said that "there are some short-term projects and others in the medium term. For example, the whole replacement of fuels with green hydrogen for aircraft is one of the proposals."
"Everything that is auto parts and parts for the aerospace theme is another proposal. What has to do with the part of the Navy and the air sector for the manufacture of parts and shipyards, "he says.
Adding finally that "the short-term proposal is an investment of 300 million euros by Airbus where with the Air Force industry, they will manufacture the propellers and all the structures in Colombia, but with an exclusivity to produce that for the world".
