AAPEX 2022 presented the Best Booth Awards to exhibiting companies during a Nov. 2 ceremony at The Venetian Expo in Las Vegas. The Best in Show awards were given to American Express (10×10 or Lineal) and Manufacturas Diversos S.A. de C.V. (Peninsula or Island).
The awards were presented by Bill Hanvey, president and CEO of the Auto Care Association, and Paul McCarthy, president and CEO of the Automotive Aftermarket Suppliers Association (AASA).
Winners were also announced in the following categories:
Best 10X10: Open Road Brands, stand A6041. A compelling display of products, a full range of automotive-themed signs, and other fun retail products. Good lighting.
Contracted personnel, on the outer perimeter of the stand. Perfect fit of a wide variety of products in a small space.
Best Linear (200 square feet or more): American Express, booth A31009. Outstanding integration of automotive themes by a financial provider. The centerpiece is an exquisite and eye-catching sofa, which is the back of an older vehicle with AAPEX license plates.
The product warranty also integrated the AAPEX license plate issue on one side and product information on the back. Another giveaway promotes the AMEX small store movement, encouraging shoppers to support small businesses.
Best Small Peninsula (less than 800 square feet): Manufacturas Diversos S.A. de C.V., Stand A3254. To take the exhibition industry into the future by exhibiting in a more environmentally sustainable way.
Highly effective use of cardboard as the main material used in the exhibition stand. It includes seating area, shelves with products and the opportunity to win a game for attendees.
Strategic use of lighting to showcase the product and feature of the game. Even the T-shirt of the stand staff, which the company promotes, is made with recycled product. And the booth staff is very enthusiastic about their product line and approaches attendees in a welcoming and engaging way.
Best Large Peninsula (800 square feet or more): DEFA North America Inc., booth A5079. The design of the stand is modern, open, bright and beautiful. The product was very well integrated into the structure of the stand and the staff was engaged with customers and passers-by.
Best Small Island (less than 800 square feet): Meyle AG, booth A31001. It features a driving video game at the booth to create engagement with passersby, great technology integration, a good product display and committed staff.
Best Big Island (800 square feet or more): CRC Industries, Inc., booth A3816. From T-shirt giveaways to custom vans on booth staff, CRC took a truly head-to-toe approach to its booth.
Best pavilion: Brasil Auto Parts (Sindipecas), stand A5432. The pleasant, open and airy design distinguishes this pavilion from the others. Great attention was paid to detail; from signage to lighting and uniform branding at all times. Everything worked very well together.
To select the winners, judges toured the exhibition floor and evaluated the booths based on creative attention-grabbing techniques, effective visual communications, effective staffing practices, intelligent access to the exhibit and attendee navigation, and engaging and informative presentations and demonstrations.
