AMR 2024 Addresses Sustainable Development Trends for China's Aftermarket

AMR 2024

China. As a veteran platform for sourcing in the automotive aftermarket, the Auto Maintenance and Repair Expo (AMR) will address the environmental and sustainable trends currently dominating developments in the industry.

This includes showcasing innovative technologies, products, and services throughout the exhibit hall and value-added events. This exhibition will take place from March 20 to 23, 2024 at the National Convention and Exhibition Center (Tianjin).

Next month's show is expected to attract more than 1,200 exhibitors from around the world, showcasing products in eight halls in a 100,000-square-meter exhibition space.

As a pillar of AMR, the repair and maintenance sector will offer extensive aftermarket coverage with leading domestic and foreign exhibitors, such as Anche, Anest Iwata, Balance, Beissbarth, Besita, Corwei, Dali, FABIT, Goodyear, Haide, Ingersoll. Rand, Kahe, Nexion, Nussbaum, Mahle, RAV, Tektino, THINKCAR, THREE EXCEL, Torin, Yonghengfeng and Zhongli.

The fair will also give more importance to the parts and components sector in line with the needs of the rapidly growing Chinese market for electronic, smart and lightweight components and NEV components.

The sector will occupy more than 40,000 m² spread over halls S11, S12 and S13. In fact, more than 600 leading exhibitors such as ADD, eBay, Changli, Feier, Gold, Luoshi, ODM, Ruili, Ruiming, Xintian, Yihong, Yuhuan Jinli and Zhongding have already confirmed their participation.

According to the organizers, China is actively promoting green consumption in various spaces, including the automotive market, which is also shifting the aftermarket towards green and low-carbon development.

With this in mind, the returning Green Repair & New Energy zone (Hall S16) will be key to emphasising the value of sustainability in the repair sector. With a 4,000 m2 exhibition space for skills competitions, forums, training and independent exhibition, the area aims to encourage innovative and environmentally friendly practices.

It will focus on maintenance technologies, equipment and materials, as well as products and services related to the aftermarket, testing, repair and coating of NEVs.

As for exhibitors, Suzhou Qiang Li and Wuhan Onew will be showcasing their spray painting systems, while Germany's SATA and Craftsman (Shanghai) will bring their latest coating technologies. In addition, Bees Service, an expert in NEV maintenance for Tesla, will delve into EV battery repair. Guangdong Hongdao, Henan Yingzhirui and Honow (Guangdong) will also present products and technologies in NEV air conditioner and insulated tool kits.

In addition, AMR will host the 2024 National Vocational Skills Competition in the Green Repair & New Energy area to address one of the industry's most important topics: skills development in the growing NEV aftermarket.

The planned transition to widespread adoption of NEV also involves the establishment of national standards across China to ensure that providers deliver high-quality, safe, and efficient services. From this vantage point, the competition will demonstrate how various local brands and vocational institutes are moving forward with the use of new green repair tools, technologies, and solutions. It aims to further promote collaboration in education and industry to foster talent.

For the first time, it will feature two individual competitions: the New Energy Vehicle Repairer and the Vehicle Paint Finish. The event convenes contestants from across the mobility and logistics sector, including experts and students from educational organizations.

The competition was initiated by the Professional Industry-Education Integration Committee of the China Automotive Maintenance Equipment Industry Association (CAMEIA) and several municipal industry associations. It will be organized by the Shandong Automobile Maintenance Equipment Industry Association, Messe Frankfurt (Shanghai) and Quangong Vocational Education (Beijing) Technology. The judges will award prizes to the finalists.

Together with AMR 2024, the 6th International Automotive Aftermarket Conference will explore the economic landscape, industry development, technology trends, and innovation, providing companies with valuable insights into future market opportunities.

The conference will bring together leading consultants, parts and component companies, and distributors to discuss green and future-focused strategies for the automotive aftermarket.

The topics will cover the latest trends in the global aftermarket and NEVs in the independent aftermarket.
