International. Automotive supplier MAHLE is advancing its MAHLE 2030+ strategy with a reorganization that promises greater efficiency, speed and readiness for the future of mobility.
MAHLE will restructure its units to strengthen key areas such as electrification and thermal management. The new divisions "Powertrain and Charging" and "Thermal and Fluid Systems" will focus on developing cutting-edge technologies for electric motors, intelligent charging systems and thermal management solutions.
"With these changes, MAHLE is accelerating its transformation and consolidating its position as a leader in sustainable mobility," said Arnd Franz, CEO of the company.
The complete acquisition of MAHLE Behr GmbH & Co. KG marks a milestone in the integration of this key area, ensuring continued growth in future-oriented technologies.
From January 2025, the new Board of Directors will be composed of:
- Arnd Franz, CEO and now also Chief Labor Officer.
- Markus Kapaun, as CFO.
- Jumana Al-Sibai, head of "Thermal and Fluid Systems".
- Georg Dietz, leading "Powertrain and Charging".
The changes also include the departure of Beate Bungartz and Martin Weidlich, who have been recognized for their contributions during their tenure.
Projection into the future
The Chairman of the Supervisory Board, Prof. Dr. Heinz K. Junker, stressed that this reorganization "will improve the integration of the group and optimize internal synergies."
With these measures, MAHLE reinforces its commitment to electric mobility, sustainability and innovation in the global automotive industry.
Among the measures highlighted are:
- Reduction of the Board of Directors: It will go from seven to four members.
- Merger of business units: The current five units will be consolidated into three as of January 2025.
- Full acquisition of MAHLE Behr GmbH & Co. KG: Increases its stake in the thermal management specialist to 100 percent.
