Mexico. With an investment of 10 million dollars in its initial phase, Sumitomo Electric Wiring Systems inaugurated the Contec-Tabasco plant, the first in the automotive sector of Japanese origin in the state.
At the inauguration ceremony, the governor of the state, Carlos Manuel Merino, expressed the relevance of this investment to consolidate Tabasco as an attractive entity for national and international investments, as well as the generation of mechanisms that guarantee the maximum benefit to investors and the state.
For his part, the president of Sumitomo Electric Wiring Systems, Mr. Tokiji Aoyama, said: "We are very convinced in the quality and commitment of the Tabasco workforce, so we plan to reach 650 employees just for this building, expecting to grow within three years to 2000 employees."
Likewise, the Secretariat for Economic Development and Competitiveness highlighted the promotion of the company's linkage with local suppliers to guarantee the supply of inputs and services in order to contribute to the strengthening of the value chain in the region.
