Echoes that still resonate from Expopartes 2023

Colombia. A month before the 27th version of Expopartes in Bogotá, we collect some of the voices that were part of this, one of the largest auto parts fairs in Latin America, organized by the Association of the Automotive Sector and its Parts (Asopartes).

Precisely the president of Asopartes, Carlos Andrés Pineda, expressed his satisfaction with the large influx of public and the participation of more than 500 exhibitors from more than 20 countries, as well as the speakers in charge of the different talks.

Likewise, he highlighted the pavilion with the Center of Experiences and Technologies aimed at workshop managers, mechanics, after-sales managers, diagnostic centers, automotive service workshops, importers, distributors and sales representatives of the brands, among others.

"It is the possibility of exposing not only the machinery, the diagnostic tools, but also that learning technology, of knowledge around the companies that can help us and accompany us in the repair and gas conversion workshops, in the collision repair centers of dealerships of both vehicles and bicycles," said Carlos Andrés, who in turn invited the Auto Parts Fair, also organized by the Association, which will take place from June 5 to 7, 2024 in Medellín.

Among the participants was also Raúl Bustamente, Head of Marketing of eBay Latin America, who as a representative of a company with a presence in 190 countries with 133 million buyers said that this fair, "is a very big opportunity for all people or businesses that are marketing auto parts, refractions, accessories, because it is also one of the most important categories, with greater growth on eBay, not only in Latin America but worldwide."

Raúl Bustamente highlighted the presence of stands with a wide range of technology, products with high international demand that "perhaps at this moment are not taking advantage of the opportunity to use cross-border trade in their favor and sell to buyers around the world."

On the other hand, Alaine Zúñiga, Sales Manager for Latin America of TrakMotive, manufacturer of the United States with its mother company in China, expressed his joy to be part of the meeting with his flagship product, the constant speed semi-axles, and his search to penetrate the Colombian market even more.

"There are many exhibitors, local and foreign, mechanics, distributors, in search of products like the ones we offer," said Zúñiga, who finally rescued the spirit of ensuring several prospects so that the brand is recognized by the final consumer and that customers feel supported by a quality brand.

"If a company is strong, it can also make the distributor, our customers, strong," he said.

These were some of the voices that emerged between the 10,000 square meters and five pavilions of the Corferias fairgrounds, which served as a meeting for manufacturers, marketers, representatives of foreign brands, among other actors in the automotive sector and its parts.
