United States. MEMA's aftermarket suppliers will hold their annual MEMA aftermarket supplier diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI) awards during AAPEX from October 31 to November 2 in Las Vegas.
MEMA's aftermarket suppliers will present two awards: an individual award and a company award to the winners on November 1.
MEMA said the awards were created to recognize DEI's importance in the commercial vehicle and automotive aftermarket and to celebrate those individuals and organizations who uphold the DEI spirit in their organizations and communities.
Award winners will be selected from submissions made to MEMA's aftermarket suppliers.
For individual award presentations, MEMA noted that nominees must be influential leaders in the aftermarket that support, promote and/or embody DEI's core values.
Company award nominees must be commercial vehicle and automotive aftermarket organizations that have made achievements in advancing DEI in the industry.
"MEMA is dedicated to advocating and advocating for a respectful, diverse and collaborative community and recognizing those within the industry who support that dedication," said April Buford, DEI Executive Director at MEMA.
"MEMA's aftermarket supplier DEI awards will shine a light on an individual and an organization that is paving the way for diversity, equity and inclusion in the automotive aftermarket."
Applications for this year's DEI Awards must be submitted by August 31. Information and application can be found here.
