United States. The automotive supplier is building a manufacturing facility in Mesa, Arizona. The nearly 230,000-square-foot facility, located in Power Industrial Park, is expected to create hundreds of new jobs.
Magna's new manufacturing facility, which represents a multibillion-dollar investment, highlights Arizona's fast-growing automotive ecosystem, which includes electric vehicle manufacturers Lucid and Nikola, as well as automated vehicle innovators such as May Mobility and Gatik.
"Magna's decision to locate its new manufacturing facility in Mesa demonstrates Arizona's attractiveness to the automotive industry," said Sandra Watson, president and CEO of the Arizona Commerce Authority. "We are very grateful for Magna's commitment to Arizona and look forward to supporting its growth as part of our thriving mobility ecosystem."
Leveraging Magna's extensive experience, flexibility and expertise in the automotive sector, working with several OEMs, the facility will incorporate innovative state-of-the-art technology and virtual tools, such as simulations, to ensure the quality and flexibility needed to accelerate the integration of new products.
